SLF STAMP CLUB
SLF Stamp Club encompasses students from fourth to eighth grade. Students learn how to set up and care for a stamp collection, how to identify stamps from far away countries, the intricacies of stamp collecting, and a large dose of geography and history along the way. Stamps and supplies are given to students at each meeting. Our major sponsors, the Philatelic Society of Los Angeles and the Ries Chapter of the American First Day Cover Society, as well as many individuals and stamp dealers donate stamps and supplies to the club.
The Stamp Club Moderator is Mr. Bill Janson. Mr. Janson has offered the program to the students of St. Louis of France for the past twenty-one years. In addition to volunteering his time to the students of Saint Louis of France School, Mr. Janson is also the Youth Committee Chairman for SESCAL, the largest stamp show in Southern California.
